EN Ivorypress presents the photographic project ToledoContemporánea — curated by Elena Ochoa Foster and Ivorypress — was part of the exhibition program celebrating the fourth centennial of El Greco. The project, in collaboration with the Fundación El Greco 2014, offered a contemporary view of the city of Toledo realities. Extract from the essay written by Urs Stahel about the project: “Gafsou, in turn, creates mysterious moments. The jetty of the river, which shines in the darkness of night, is presented horizontally as if Romeo were waiting for Juliet, Tristan for Isolde, Catherine for Heathcliff, Orpheus for Eurydice or Cyrano for Roxanne or vice versa. Until the loved one's boat arrives, they emanate a secret that leads us to believe, as Cyrano said, that 'it is at night that faith in light is admirable”. FR Le projet photographique ToledoContemporánea - curaté par Elena Ochoa Foster, Ivorypress - a fait partie du programme d'exposition célébrant les 400 ans de la mort du Greco. Le projet, en collaboration avec la Fundación El Greco 2014, a offert une vision contemporaine des réalités de la ville de Tolède. Extrait de l'essai écrit par Urs Stahel sur le projet : “Gafsou, à son tour, crée des moments mystérieux. La jetée du fleuve, qui brille dans l'obscurité de la nuit, est présentée horizontalement comme si Roméo attendait Juliette, Tristan Isolde, Catherine Heathcliff, Orphée Eurydice ou Cyrano Roxanne ou vice versa. Jusqu'à l'arrivée du bateau de l'être aimé, il émane d'eux un secret qui nous fait croire, comme le disait Cyrano, que "c'est la nuit que la foi en la lumière est admirable”.
